Beret Flash


Description/Blazon
A maroon shield-shaped embroidered item with a semi-circular base 2 1/4 inches (5.72cm) in height and 1 7/8 inches (4.76cm) in width overall, edged with a 1/8 inch (.32cm) Ultramarine Blue border. The beret flash was originally approved for the U.S. Army Airborne Board on 12 Feb 1981. It was redesignated for the Test and Experimentation Command, Airborne and Special Operations Test Board on 12 Sep 1990. On 3 Aug 1999 it was redesignated for the U.S. Army Operational Test Command, Airborne and Special Operations Test Directorate.

The background trimming was originally approved for the U.S. Army Airborne Board on 12 Feb 1981.
